GigabitMAN...
The Revolutionary Metro
Network
We currently provide "GigabitMAN"
(Gigabit Metropolitan Area
Network) services over our
Gigabit Ring. The network
essentially interconnects
buildings and areas within
Bangkok and its metropolitan
areas, as well as other
major cities across the
country. Through combinations
of appropriate optic transmission
technologies, a nationwide
high-speed MAN with gigabit
switching capacity has been
created. Consequently, we
sufficiently provide digital
data transmission to high-end
customers with speeds ranging
from 4 Mbps to 1 Gbps.

|
 |
|
 |
The
service is ideal for
real-time applications
such as Voice over
IP (VoIP), Video Streaming
and Video Conferencing.
Connections are also
simple with choices
of electrical or optical
Ethernet interfaces.
In addition, with
a 40% saving on expenses
per bandwidth, you
will be able to save
more compared with
traditional leased
line circuits. |

Dual-Ring
Architecture
Today, ADC "DataNet" proudly
announces the completion
of Gigabit Ring. Gigabit
Ring has been specifically
designed for large-scale,
high-speed metropolitan
interconnection enabling
all broadband services over
one single IP platform.
With state-of-the-art technology
and architecture, Gigabit
Ring has virtually no point
of failure. |
 |
|
 |
While
technologies
like RPR, DWDM,
RSTP and Dual-Ring
architecture
ensuring data
reliability,
protocols like
802.1Q guarantee
the integrity
of transmitted
information.This
results in an
immensely-secure
network with
rapid convergence
time.
Furthermore,
with the advantages
of IP MPLS-running
edge and core
routers, IP
QoS is achieved
for both broadband
application
and traffic
streams. |

VDSL
(Very High Bit Rate
DSL)
ADC “DataNet” recommends
VDSL to customers
who prefer data transmission
over normal phone
lines. As the technology
implies, no optical
fibre wiring is necessary.
Since VDSL also utilizes
the Gigabit MAN infrastructure,
it sufficiently provides
speeds of up to 10Mbps
both upstream and
downstream. This is
contrary to ADSL,
which normally provides
a maximum upstream
flow of only 2Mbps.
Both data and PSTN
services may be used
simultaneously. |
